PROJECT OVERVIEW
The focus of NRUN is to match Nebraska schools into educational partnerships. Goals include helping students understand the differences and similarities of individuals living in
Nebraska and preparing students for associations with people outside their own communities and cultures. Goals of curriculum integration include: Multicultral Education, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Industrial Technology, Art, Health, and Consumer Science.
Although at the onset this project looks to be social science oriented, it
can be integrated in all curricular areas. For inclusion in the project the following basic skills are necessary:
- e-mail capabilities (greatest portion of project sharing will be done using this method)
- e-mail account
- NetScape and or Lynx
- telnet (helpful but not necessary)
Sign-up for this project will be during the month of September with the project running from October thru March.
